What is diamond fluorescence?

One thing to consider is that a blue fluorescence can actually make a yellowish diamond appear white or colorless to the naked eye. Remember that elementary school lesson about complementary colors? Blue and yellow are directly opposite each other on the color wheel and, when combined, they can produce white light.
