My fiancé bought my engagement ring and wedding band separately from Dino from diamond mansion. We initially found them from eBay and I’m so glad we did. The price we paid for both rings was a fraction of what we would’ve paid at our local fancy jewelers. We went in to our local jewelers after getting our engagement ring and they appraised it for 2.5x how much we paid for it. I came to find Diamond Mansion online after searching local jewellers in Calgary, AB, both in-store and on their websites, and was pretty dismayed at the cost of diamonds / engagement rings locally. I started looking at other sites like James Allen and Blue Nile, and came across Diamond Mansion through their listings on ebay. The prices for the rings shown were pretty reasonable and I felt like I wouldn't be paying for a company's brand or heavy advertising (hello Spence Diamonds). The only drawbacks that gave me some hesitation were buying internationally from a vendor selling on ebay, and generally only seeing rings in a CGI format before having them physically build something for you. Having said that, the staff (Dino, in particular) were still very helpful with questions / concerns and made the process pretty easy. Also having a GIA grading for the centre stone was a plus. At the end of the day, the ring turned out fantastic, I've got a fiancé that loves it, and a local jeweller confirmed the ring's worth and stone characteristics. Combine that with the fact that I paid significantly less than what I would have if I bought locally, and it's a no brainer. Telling your gf that you bought her bling in L.A. doesn't hurt either. Like most people making the most important decision of their lives, I was very hesitant to make a purchase of this magnitude online, never having met the seller, never having seen the diamond and like every review I read Dino did not disappoint! From the very first conversation I put him through the ringer with all of my questions about the exact diamond I wanted.
